ClientSEA TodayYear2020DescriptionIn 2020, my team and I were entrusted with an important project: the Station ID for SEA TODAY Channel. From the beginning, we wanted to create something more than just a visual identity. We envisioned a journey — a visual story that would take viewers from the cultural roots of Indonesia, across Southeast Asia, and out into the world. The storyboard we crafted was born from the idea of light and human journeys. We began with the rising sun over Indonesia’s natural landscapes, a symbol of new hope and the beginning of every story SEA TODAY would share. From there, the visuals moved through the richness of culture and national icons — oceans, mountains, and monumental statues — affirming that every story is rooted in identity. The footsteps of people then carried the journey further, into modern urban spaces, crossing the skylines of Southeast Asia’s major cities. We placed iconic landmarks — Marina Bay in Singapore, Monas in Jakarta — as markers that SEA TODAY is a news channel that speaks not only for one nation, but for an entire region. The journey culminated with a map of Southeast Asia unfolding, followed by a globe emerging as a symbol of global connectivity. It was a clear statement that SEA TODAY was born from this region, but its vision reaches the world. As Graphic Director, my role was to ensure every element flowed together in one cohesive narrative: from the earliest sketches, to the visual concept, to the underlying philosophy. Together with my team, I wove the details — line by line, frame by frame — so that this Station ID would stand not only as a visual identity, but as a declaration. That SEA TODAY is the window from Indonesia to Southeast Asia, and from Southeast Asia to the world.
